Singer, Multi Instrumentalist, Artist and Elder Statesman of African Music in The UK

Baba Ade, as he is affectionately known, has worked with some of the greatest African musicians of all time, including:
Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, Fela Kuti & Africa 70, Miatta Fambule and many more.

He runs his own band called IBILE, which means “Children Of The World”, and is also a founder member of Afrikan Revolution. Baba Ade is featured on the song “Welcome Home” on the upcoming “Roots Renaissance” album.

Baba is also a brilliantly, gifted visual artist and has developed his own unique style in which he uses threads,beads and shells

Originally from West Africa, he has been a prolific teacher and ambassador of African music and culture in the UK from the 1970s to the present.

Elephant Walk will be releasing an acoustic album by Baba Ade this Winter called “The Blackout Project”: No Electrics
